Two new models, the Origin and Pulse were unveiled in conjunction with Can-AM’s 50th anniversary. The company are looking to put these two electric motorcycles into production in mid-2024 and no technical specs will be released until 2023.
Can-AM’s first motorcycle was launched in 1973 and won the AMA 250cc motocross competition in 1974. Although the company have not produced a two wheeler since 1987 when the brand almost disappeared. Resurrected in 2006 the company started making ATV’s and Trikes, but this sees the company’s return to motorcycling.
The Origin and Pulse are both powered by Rotax, the company that built the original two-strokes, and the same power packs which are integrated into the chassis. The motor has a unique mounting point, within the front of the swingarm, ahead of the rear wheel. The chassis design allows for multiple different motors and swingarms, meaning that it will accept a range of different versions in the future.
A tourer and retro-cruiser are also looking to be added to the line up in the future.

The chain system is designed to be almost maintenance free in a sealed housing.
Futuristic LED dashboard, gives the Can-AM a modern upgrade.
Only the right hand side of the bike requires operating, I.e front and rear brake, leaving the left hand side with no work.
