Ex Harley-Davidson Engineer Creates E Bike Company, Fuell, And Unveils Two New Models

Fuell, the electric two-wheel company created by legendary Harley-Davidson engineer, Erik Buell are releasing two electric vehicles.  The electric push bike, Flluid available now, and the electric motorbike, Fllow available for pre-order now.

The Fuell Fllow is said to have the acceleration of a superbike, the urban range is up to 150 miles, with a fast charge in under 30 minutes. This machine weighs in at less than 400 Ibs. The innovations includes the exclusive wheel motor, the 50 litres of storage and the flowing, connected dashboard.

The modular design of the bike allows the bike to evolve alongside technological progress. Allowing for easy upgrades in the future when the motor, battery and charging system technology inevitably changes. The Fllow will come in a 11kW motor and a more powerful 35kW option. The Fllow is not yet available for pre-order but the estimated price is $11,995. The ‘all-in-one’ in wheel motor gives the bike a futuristic aesthetic.

Erik Buell has teamed up with Frédéric Vasseur, a company owner who makes chassis’ for Formula E.

The first product from the line, the Flluid electric bike, will come in 2 versions, a 20 mph and 28 mph bike. The bike will have two swappable batteries which will combine to give a total 125 mile range.

The bike comes fully loaded with impressive high-end components. The custom-made Fuell electric motor, features a torque sensor that creates a smooth and responsive pedal assist system. The Flluid is equipped with a Shimano Alfine 8 nternally geared hub system, that requires minimal maintenance. The Gates Carbon Belt, has a extended lifespan compared to a standard metal chain, without the need for constant lubrication or maintenance.
